Silver Trails offers Three different sizes of accommodations to insure all dogs are comfortable during their stay. Each dog has its own individual run, unless multiple pets from the same family, a kennel. Shown to the left are our Large and Medium runs.
Each room has a solid stainless-steel wall with stainless-steel fencing on top, providing separation from neighboring rooms. Each dog has access to their own private, covered outside area. Every morning, the kennel staff opens the doggie door in your pet’s room, allowing your pet to enjoy fresh air in the beautiful country setting.

All rooms have thick mats for your pets to sleep on. Silver Trails does have bedding available for the comfort of our guests. We do understand if you would like to bring your own bedding or toys. Just remember please label your pet’s items with their name and try not to bring their favorite items in case they are destroyed while your pet is away from home
If you do bring bedding from home, we ask that it be something that can easily be washed. Some dogs may have an accident or get it dirty after playtime, so we will send the items to the laundry to have them washed and dried.
Every day during your pet’s stay, the rooms are disinfected and cleaned inside and out. Throughout the year, the entire inside areas of the kennel are climate controlled to keep your pet warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
Classical music is played throughout the kennel 24 hours a day. The canine ear is very sensitive to sound, and playing classical music has been proven to have a soothing impact on anxious dogs. We play classical music for our guests to provide them with an enjoyable environment, and it also helps them relax at nap time in the afternoon.
Meals
Here at Silver Trails, we offer three meals a day, but we know that not every pet has the same feeding schedule. Let us know what your dog’s schedule is at home, and we will feed as close to your schedule as we can. We recommend that you bring your dog’s food from home for their stay with us, especially if they are on a special diet, but we do provide food if you don’t – ( Blue Seal and Pedigree can ) and we also have Pedigree & Mighty Dog canned feeds. If bringing food from home, please have your pet’s food labeled and in a container.

Medical Care
We will administer any oral or topical medication that your pet currently receiving, including injections, at no extra charge. Please have all medications labeled with your pet’s name and the correct dosage. If your pet should require medical attention while in our care, it is our procedure to contact your veterinarian.
If your pet requires an office visit, we will transport the pet to your veterinarian, if it is located within a reasonable traveling distance. We reserve the right to use our own local veterinarian, depending upon the problem.
